Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client who is in the construction industry, is looking for a skilled Buyer to join their company in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement and purchasing within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies needed for construction projects
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience as a Buyer in the construction industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and processes
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
