Buyer - Detergent Manufacturing Industry

Hire Resolve's client who is in the detergent manufacturing industry is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Gauteng.Responsibilities:
- Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies needed for detergent manufacturing operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms and pricing
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
- Work closely with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure that materials meet specifications and quality standards
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Keep abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes that may impact purchasing decisions
- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and other documentation related to procurement activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a buyer in the detergent manufacturing industry or a similar role
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and industry trends
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the detergent manufacturing industry
- Must be available immediately
