Job Summary:
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join their manufacturing team as a Press Brake Assistant in Germiston. The successful candidate will work closely with the Press Brake Operator to assist in the efficient and accurate operation of our press brake equipment. This is a physically demanding role that requires good technical and mechanical skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Press Brake Operator in setting up and operating press brake machines according to specifications.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, oiling, and greasing.
- Check and verify dimensions of workpieces using precision measuring instruments.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Load and unload materials onto the press brake machine using forklifts or other equipment.
- Assist in the selection, setup, and adjustment of appropriate tooling for each job.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and optimize production efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and document any issues or concerns.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 4 - 6 years experience in a relevant role
- Technical drawing and Interpretation
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of press brake operations and machine setup is an advantage.
- Familiarity with various types of press brake tooling and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy.
- A high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing quality work.
- Forklift operation certification is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
