Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s client in the logistics industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Shift Manager to join their team in the Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
Responsibilities
- Shift outcome achieves customer contractual service levels
- Shift expenditures are managed within shift budget cost overruns for the shift are investigated and appropriate countermeasures are instituted to prevent further overruns
- Monitor and enforce procedural compliance on shift staff on shift is trained on company procedure
- Continuous improvements for shift actively pursued
- Consistently disciplined and trained staff on shift - Schedule and conduct / Hold staff meetings
- Resolve staff issues and queries promptly
- Decisions taken guided by company values/values into account
- Employees are constantly reminded of values
- Responsible for shift planning by planning shifts in advance
- Shift plan includes staffing and equipment according to volume and timing. Report on Shift outcome (Plan vs. Actual)
- Ensures accurate recording of staff time and attendance
- Communicate plan before shift
- Unsafe matters corrected immediately on shift
- Shift documentation is complete and accurate for all activities
- Documentation is filed on shift completion
- Reporting
Requirements
- Grade 12 is compulsory with a Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or similar
- 3-5 Years’ experience in Warehousing and Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management
- Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills
- SAP Experience
- Willing to work the night shift
- Must be located in the Eastern Cape area
