Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Manager to join their team in the packaging industry in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency
- Coordinate closely with sales, production, and procurement teams to ensure seamless production planning
- Monitor inventory levels and develop strategies to minimize excess inventory while ensuring availability of materials for production
- Analyze production data and provide insights to improve production efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide leadership and direction to the planning team, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in production planning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in production planning in the packaging industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office and production planning software
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
Must be able to work extended hours in line with the project requirements
