Direct Reports 2 x QEHS Officers
Job purpose
- Drive the planning, establishment, implementation, and maintenance of
the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment Health & Safety Management System (EHS), and the supporting processes, ensuring full alignment with the applicable requirements of the Group
Quality & EHS and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Standard requirements.
- Ensure that regulatory requirements, when applicable, affecting quality and EHS are observed, advised and implemented.
- Proactively support Management, Sales, Engineering and Support Teams towards achieving the company strategic direction and business results.
- Support management, Process Owner and Managers ensuring alignment with customers’ required standards towards achieving customer satisfaction.
- In addition to the above, the Quality Manager has, directly or indirectly, a functional (dotted line) link to Cluster Quality & EHS, Business Unit, Business Area or Group Quality and EHS Management.
- The Quality & EHS Manager has the authority to:
o stop/release production and delivery of products / services in cases where the output quality is in question.
o stop work in cases of identified a) risk of injury to personnel working on site b) damage to machinery and/or equipment.
Description of duties
Primary functional objectives of the role
- Ensure that the Quality and EHS Management System requirements and processes, and any customer-specific requirements are established, implemented, maintained, communicated, and integrated to all Business
Processes and strategic objectives.
- Effective implementation of the Groups QMS (Qb) and EHS (Eb), with the support of local Management and Process Managers.
- Integration of Quality & EHS requirements into the business processes.
- Audits - Planning organising and controlling of internal, Group, 3rd Party (certification & Surveillance) and customer audits.
- Report the performance of the QMS to the management for review in order to be used as a base for improvement, as well as ensuring the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities for:
People
- Internal induction and training of all employees in the requirements of the QMS and EHS within their specific roles in the organisation,
- Training of and support to local Process Owners and their managers in their specific roles related to the QMS and/or EHS.
- Initiate action to ensure compliance with the Group QMS and EHS Policies.
Assets
- Responsible for the proper use and care of equipment used within the work environment.
- Report any risks of damage to equipment identified.

- Analysis of data to make day-to-day job-related decision and to prioritise work in line with operational requirements.

- Effective internal communication with stakeholders (management, employees, customers, suppliers, Group and EMEA community).
- Ability to snare knowledge through training related to QMS and EHS.
Experience and knowledge
Minimum
- Minimum of 5-7 years management experience, preferably in the role as a Quality Manager, within an international organisation.
- Work experience in Risk Management.
- IT – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Desirable
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 International standards.
- 10 years active experience in the implementation, coordination and improvement of an organisations Quality Management and EHS
Management systems.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Risk Management.
- Group Product and services knowledge.
- Intelex.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Business management Degree / Diploma.
- Quality Management – ISO 9001 certified Internal Auditor.
- Risk Management certificate.
- Legal Liability certificate.
Desirable
- Quality Management – ISO 9001 certified Lead Auditor.
- Environmental Management - ISO 14001 certified Internal Auditor.
- Health & Safety Management - ISO 45001 certified Internal Auditor.

- Travel Internationally – where required by the Group QMS and/or EHS.
