Description:Hire Resolve's client is seeking a qualified and skilled Underground Fitter to join their mining team in Gauteng. As an Underground Fitter, you will play an essential role in maintaining and assembling equipment used in underground mining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and install underground mining equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Diagnose defects and troubleshoot issues in underground equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment meets safety standards.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs effectively.
- Comply with safety protocols and company policies regarding machinery operation and maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Fitter Trade Test Certificate
- 5 years' experience in underground mining operations
- Experience on Hydraulics/Pneumatic systems and Battery Loco Maintenance in an underground Horizontal Logistics environment.
- Valid driver's license
