Senior Resource Geologist - Mining

Description:Hire Resolve's client is currently looking for a Senior Resource Geology Specialist to be based in Gauteng. As a Senior Resource Geology Specialist you will be responsible for overseeing mineral resource estimation, modelling, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in initiatives to promote Zero Harm by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, SHE policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership in line with operational SHE standards and campaigns.
- Manage people effectively by defining team roles and maintaining strong team performance.
- Ensure QAQC, integrity, and ISO 17025 compliance in sample collection, processing, and analysis through audits, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert technical, QAQC, modelling, and evaluation services to enhance Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves.
- Oversee mineral resource estimation and reporting for resource models.
- Ensure SOX compliance and meet audit requirements from Corporate Technical Services and external auditors.
- Coordinate projects and integrate processes to meet business and stakeholder needs.
- Manage Mineral Resource risks to acceptable levels.
- Review and implement best practices for sampling, resource estimation, modelling, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BSc Honours in Geology or related postgraduate qualification.
- Registered with SACNASP
- Minimum if 5 years' experience in geological modelling and mineral resource estimation.
- Extensive knowledge in database management, and grade estimation techniques.
- Proficient in geological modelling and geostatistical software (Leapfrog, Datamine and Supervisor)
- Valid Drivers' License
