Job Summary
Minimise downtime and ensure availability of machines to the sales team.
Operational Goals
▪Determine the condition of the machines (mobile cranes, trucks, trailers, LDV’s) at your branch by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts and compiling a fault report.
▪Conduct preventive and/or time-based maintenance as per OEM’s requirements; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion, etc.
▪Correct machine deficiencies by repairing, adjusting, overhauling, and replacing defective parts or systems, such as power and drivetrains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
▪Maintain records of the machines under your control – including inspection sheets, job cards, report of repairs and services completed as well as warranty documents that might be available.
▪Perform risk assessments before performing any task/repair.
▪You will be required to understand / learn the full functionality of the cranes (including safe loading systems), learn to understand & read wiring and flow diagrams and learn to operate the cranes.
▪You will be required to perform standby duties as and when required and to work overtime when there are breakdowns and unfinished repairs as per action lists for cranes that are needed.
▪Ensure parts, oils, greases, and other necessary equipment is purchased and available for upcoming planned maintenance.
