Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician (Underground) to join their prominent mining company located in Gauteng. As an Instrument Technician, you will be tasked with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of various instruments and control systems within the underground environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safeguard team members' health and safety by following relevant standards and protocols during all maintenance planning and execution.
- Conduct inspections in alignment with MHSA regulations and company standards.
- Support a Zero Harm culture by complying with legislative, health, safety, environmental, and security policies, along with applying specific guidelines to tasks and work areas.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, systems, and processes within your area of responsibility.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and quality repairs in line with scheduled activities.
- Maintain accuracy and proper interaction between all process control field instruments and systems.
- Take part in and oversee various designated expansion or modification projects.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma or N6 Certificate in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Trade Test Certificate as an Instrument Mechanician
- 5 years' experience on installation and maintenance of process control equipment
- 2 years' experience in hard rock mining or TMM maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Automation, and SCADA Packages
- Possession of a valid driver's license
