Location: George / Garden Route - Western Cape
Salary: R25,000 – R35,000 (dependent on experience)
Start Date: if possible, 3 January 2025 (builders’ holiday concludes on 13 January, but an earlier start date may be arranged for onboarding).
Key Responsibilities:
As a
Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of construction projects. Your duties will include:
- Tender Preparation: Drafting tenders and commercial bids to secure new business.
- Project Proposals: Developing and presenting detailed project plans.
- Client Engagement: Meeting with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Budgeting & Scheduling: Producing accurate plans, budgets, and timescales for approval.
- Contract Management: Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing business contracts.
- Project Oversight: Managing construction schedules, budgets, and addressing unexpected costs.
- Progress Monitoring: Attending site meetings and ensuring projects meet agreed technical standards.
- Team Coordination: Acting as the main point of contact for clients, project managers, sub-contractors, and third parties.
- Invoicing & Documentation: Overseeing invoicing and ensuring all legal and financial aspects are completed post-project.
Work Environment:The role requires flexibility to work both on-site and, in the office, ensuring seamless coordination between all stakeholders.
Requirements:- Proven experience in a similar role in the building and construction industry.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and client liaison skills.
- Excellent understanding of technical standards and contract negotiation.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines efficiently.
