About the role
We are actively seeking detail-oriented and recently qualified individuals to join our team as Junior Storemen under the YES (Youth Employment Service) initiative. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for young talents who may have completed a qualification but lack formal work experience. Responsibilities
- Inventory Control:
- Learn and contribute to the organization and control of the inventory.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of stock levels and movements.
- Receiving and Dispatch:
- Gain exposure to the receiving and dispatch of goods.
- Work alongside experienced team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders.
- Stock Replenishment:
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and contributing to stock replenishment processes.
- Learn to coordinate with different departments to fulfill material requests.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Learn to maintain accurate records of stock transactions and movements.
- Contribute to the organization of documentation related to stock management.
- Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with different departments to understand material and equipment requirements.
- Contribute to effective communication regarding stock availability and orders.
- Learning and Development:
- Pursue continuous learning in store management processes and procedures.
- Attend training sessions to enhance skills related to inventory control.
Preferred Skills:- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Participation in relevant coursework or training programs.
Requirements - Grade 12.
- South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
- Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
