Senior Mine Manager

Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of the mining operation, including production, safety, budgeting, and personnel management
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Manage a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators to achieve production targets
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to ensure smooth operations
- Report regularly to senior management on production, safety, and financial performance
- Identify and implement improvements to process and equipment to increase productivity and profitability
- Develop and mentor junior staff members to facilitate career growth and succession planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations and best practices
- Proven track record of achieving production targets while maintaining a high standard of safety
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as needed
