Develop strategic, tactical and operational vehicle repair plans to
effectively and efficiently covert inputs into outputs at the most
economical cost and the quality desired
Manage the Technical aspects related to vehicle repairs - establishing
production capabilities of manpower
Expenditure on technical resources to be managed economically,
without compromising quality, standards and safety.
Responsible for quality control in accordance with specifications laid down
Co-ordinate and advise on vehicle breakdowns to relevant persons
Sign off Audit all job cards before being signed off by Branch Manager
Preparation and representation of reports to assist in the process of
decision making - as required by the CEO
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT Ongoing
Manages the activities, outcomes and performance levels of subordinates, by
• Providing guidance on workshop objectives and procedures and monitors implementation
• Setting of targets for subordinates and ensuring such targets achieved – targets must be in accordance to work standards
• Agreeing on objectives and monitoring performance levels and determines development needs (training) and motivates for such.
• Seeking to fill vacancies in terms of the recruitment policy and appointment process.

CUSTOMER/OPERATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Attends to and resolves all operations and customer queries to vehicle repairs quality by
• Conducting an inspection on process and repairs completed.
• Check vehicle reports by analysing vehicle maintenance history using Fleet Domain.
• Interacting and providing information on status of repairs and commit to time frames for vehicles ready for hire.
In order to ensure that vehicles repaired are as per specification and requirements
ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING

Performs specific functions associated with maintain administrative records and reporting requirements, by
• Preparing reports outlining Production targets – open job card report
• Daily update reporting on production levels achieved – and justification if targets are not achieved.
• Maintaining daily production records – updating repair plan on white board and updating daily open jib card report.
• Provide reports to management on Major Repairs within a week of vehicle coming into workshop
• Submit daily reports on standby mechanics and breakdown vehicle usage and fuel
• Monitor and Report on workshop staff overtimes
• Report on Monthly Stores Stock Take
In order to ensure all administrative procedures and workshop requirements are completed and submitted or presented in accordance to deadlines.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
1. Approving purchase requisitions of spares up to the value of R5000 as required for vehicles with an open job card
2. Discipling of subordinates as per CODE of Conduct and company rules and regulations.
