Financial Manager required for an automotive company based in Gqeberha
Job Requirements:
- NQF 4 qualification + BCom Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- Qualified CA(SA) registration
- 5 –10 years relevant experience
- Automotive / Production experience will be an advantage
- Experience in the preparation and finalisationof accounts in accordance with current South African regulations
- Knowledge of strategic and financial planning including activity costing, benchmarking and KPIs
- Experience in budget preparation and reporting
- Experience in goods and services procurement processes
- Highly numerate and able to analysestatistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level –e.g.making payments and producing annual financial delivery plans etc.
- Sense of urgency and hands on approach
- Attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management, people management, organizational and planning skills
- Computer literate; fully conversant with the current uses of information technology in the workplace and uses IT as a management tool
- Good understanding of accounting and ERP systems and efficient in all Microsoft Office programmes
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Produce required financial reports for members of the team and Board of Directors
- Produce annual financial reports and statements to agreed time scales to comply with the requirements of the company RSA and the South African legal framework
- Produce detailed cash flow forecasts to form the basis for the working capital request
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the General Manager, Plant Manager and functional Department Heads
- Lead on tax planning, including VAT related matters
- Meticulous cash flow management – setting and monitoring collection targets aligned to the strategy of the company and managing timing of creditor payments
- Negotiating and arranging forward exchange contracts with the bank and ensuring timeous payment are effected
- Maintain current standing with all mandated local tax and benefits registrations and requirements, including submissions of payments and reports
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
- Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process
- Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors and inter-company account
- Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all teams
- Responsible for Ad hoc projects – BBBEE, AIS
