The purpose of the Logistics Team Member is to support the coordination, planning & execution of standardised logistics activates safely
Minimum qualification: Matric
Experience: At least one-year experience in a store or warehouse, preferably within the Automotive Sector
Duties:
- Adhere to all workplace safety protocols at each workstation, including:
- Proper use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hard-hats and protective clothing.
- Observing designated no-go areas to prevent accidents.
- Maintaining an organised and hazard-free workspace in line with 5S principles.
- In an abnormal situation: Stop, Call, Wait
- Ensure goods are scanned in and uploaded accurately and timeously.
- Receive goods into store or warehouse following standardised work instruction.
- Ensure correct placement of parts and material following location codes and labels practising FIFO.
- Ensure correct picking of both parts and material using the kanban system.
- Ensure on time delivery of parts and material to internal customers following standardised work.
- Ensure standardised dunnage is used to maintain quality integrity of parts and material.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives.
- Update check sheets and control boards accurately and timeously.
- Ensure full compliance to logistics procedures and lawful instructions.
- Communicate updates identified issues or delays to the team leader.
- Relieve team members when needed, ensuring continuity by securing workstation coverage before leaving.
