Job Summary
To supervise all workshop administrative requirements through a centralised record keeping system. Duties herewith include:
Key deliverables and outputs:
- Control strategic direction and staff motivation
- Control and motivate workshop staff
- Meeting CSI objectives especially – FIX RIGHT FIRST TIME
- Meet quality and productivity objectives
- Establish staff training needs
- Control workshop loading and breakdowns
- Taking care of warranty failed material
- Control of workshop expenses and tool equipment
- Be required from time to time to repair and maintain vehicles
- Distribute jobs
- Liaise with tech and service advisor
- Plan carry overs etc
- Quality of job cards
- Customer experience
- All other functions normally associated with this position.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- A diploma or degree in a related field would be advantageous.
- Master certification or other franchise
- Qualified technician with NTC 3
- Unendorsed code 08 driver’s license
- Ability to work overtime if required
Experience
- Minimum three years’ previous experience in a similar role within the industry
- Computer literate
- Knowledge in the interpretation and implementation of strategic plans of the business
- Qualified Technician with 5-years Technical Experience (Master certification preferable)
- Previous experience as workshop foreman would be beneficial
- Must have been exposed to a large workshop
- Proven track record in Customer Service
