Job requirements :
- National Diploma/Degree in Production Management / Engineering /Trade Tested Boilermaker, Welder or Auto Electrician or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a leader in Production / Manufacturing.
- Vehicle Body Building experience
- Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing system principles
- Sound knowledge and maintaining of ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Sound knowledge of Managing Machine, Equipment and Tools Maintenance
- Working knowledge of applicable labor & OCHSA regulations/laws
- Effective leadership skills and experience within a production / manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, time management and Organizational skills
- Production Manager experience – management level essential
- Change agent – drives continuous improvement in areas of responsibility pro-actively and ensure sustainable implemented solutions.
- Ability to work cross functional within the production environment
Duties :
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing activities for our production teams.
- Responsible for second-line supervision within the production shop, overseeing and controlling the teams assigned to you.
- Provide technical support and direction, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensuring that body applications are built in accordance with specifications, meeting regulatory and customer requirements.
- Oversee manufacturing processes and ensure production targets are met.
- Communicate job expectations and provide coaching and training to employees.
- Monitor workflow, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team leaders to motivate staff and drive performance.
- Manage manpower utilization and resolve personnel issues effectively.
- Conduct daily production meetings to report on progress and achievements
- Achieving the Production schedule, Quality & Cost targets
- Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance to SHE/OHCSA
