Job Summary
The tasks you'll perform Maintain the consistent quality of contracts administration and management including alignment with the requirements of the Company cost, schedule, quality, governance and risk. Provide contract and commercial support services to the process, engineering, projects, studies and BD groups. Report to the Managing Director monthly, presenting a true and fair view of Groupâs performance, results and any issues and concerns. Manage proposal and tender reviews and approval processes, involving key internal stakeholders, so completed proposals meet required standards of the Clientâs requirements prior to issue and ultimately maximise probabilities of successful conversion of secured work. Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units. Ensure the group delivers all its Services and efficiently and in compliance with Company objectives. Ensure all projects and studies are adequately resourced, in a timely manner with experienced personnel and support the Groupâs professional development. Lead the PSG function to ensure compliance with Company procedures, policies and standards. Promote and support the Health, Safety, Environmental and security function to ensure Group compliance with Company procedures and standards. Provide direction and support to all direct and functional reports. Ensure compliance with the Company Delegation of Authority (DOA). Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units. Liaise regularly and comply with the advice of the Technical Assurance Group (TAG) Ensure high client satisfaction levels are achieved and Group performance in compliance with contractual obligations of the company. Maintain compliance with the companyâs Corporate Governance Manual and the Risk Management Procedure. Develop and maintain the relevant Group procedures, policies, plans, systems, and protocols to enable the Group to work efficiently and to high level of accuracy and professionalism. Develop contract management plans, schedules and budgets for each contract to ensure that the contracts and procurement functions are delivered in accordance with these controls. The expertise you'll bring Undergraduate qualifications in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain management or Engineering. Post-graduate qualification in Contract Law is advantageous. 15+ yearsâ experience in contract and procurement management role(s) on substantial resources projects. South African Citizen or Permanent Resident Cape Town based Previous experience in management and leading large teams of people. Extensive international work experience and/or experience working on complex contracts and strategic procurement initiatives. Broad experience in the formation, negotiation, award and administration of complex contracts and strategic procurement initiatives. Exceptional knowledge of contract law and contract document requirements, with the ability to ensure all contracts meet legal, commercial and corporate standards/agreed benchmarks. Capacity to understand and effectively communicate contractual principles and clauses to Project Managers and business leaders, providing clear and informed commercial positions and recommendations to manage opportunity and risk. A champion of change management and continuous improvement, dedicated to best practice and driving improvement initiatives throughout the business. Exceptional communication, negotiation and facilitation skills, with the ability to prepare a wide variety of written materials for internal and external audiences. Strong business acumen with a practical focus and ability to deliver results.
