Job Summary
Summary:
To manage and control all self-catering apartments to the standards laid down by the Company, maximising revenues, and profits to agreed budgetary limits.
DUTIES:
Front Desk
- Ensure all bookings are prepared prior to check ins.
- Introduce and maintain the most efficient check-in/out procedures on Opera & WhatsApp.
- To ensure that reservations are taken correctly and courteously.
- Ensure guests are greeted, checked in to allocated rooms promptly and courteously via WhatsApp
- Ensure credit control procedures are strictly adhered to
- To ensure that accounts are balanced daily
- Manage the arrival and departures for the day
- Ensure that inspection is conducted prior to the arrivals of guests
Communication
- To ensure effective liaison between reservations and front office staff with other departments
- Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work
- To attend all management meetings as required
Guest Relations
- Readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints in person and on WhatsApp
- Tend to and arrange for guest needs
- To monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions how these could be implemented
QUALIFICATION:
- Grade 12
- Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
- Opera (advantageous)
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in the same or similar position
- Familiar with duties and procedures in the self-catering department or Airbnb
