About the role
We are looking for a Marketing/Social Media Intern who is passionate about music, fashion, and social media to join our team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing digital marketing campaigns, content creation, events, and social media management. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the intern will play a vital role in amplifying online presence and supporting the growth of our artists' brands. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with room to grow and learn.
Responsibilities
Planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content for companies' social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
Help manage the social media presence for artist merchandise collections, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies that boost follower engagement and sales.
Coordinate shoots with artists and models.
Support the Marketing Manager with daily operations and assist in executing key marketing initiatives.
Monitor social media trends and gather insights for campaign performance.
Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster an active community.
Support with influencer outreach and partnerships to promote collections.
Assist in tracking and reporting on social media metrics and performance data.
Contribute to the brainstorming and ideation process for new marketing campaigns.
Requirements
Passion for social media, digital marketing, music, and fashion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Great organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
Creative thinking and a strong sense of visual design.
Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design tools (advantageous).
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
