Job Summary
Key Performance Areas
- Track and analyze all aspects of the research databases.
- Build up databases of all relevant property and land information which
includes, but is not limited to: New and existing developments.
- Maintain and update of research databases.
- Gather information on market trends, town planning, economic indicators, demographics, financial indicators, infrastructure investment
- Gather information on what student demands and affordability.
- Research and understand relevant workings of the universities.
- Assist in compiling monthly and quarterly reports.
- Assist with Student Accommodation Mapping.
- Identify growth nodes, new areas of development and major changes in the property market.
- Research related activities including land analysis, searching title deeds, zoning aspects, restrictive conditions, physical attributes of land, township
establishment, zoning/proclamation.
- Further research could involve catchment analysis, competing developments, the market, etc. when analyzing potential developments.
- Liaising with local authorities and service providers (Telkom, Eskom, etc.) to procure and secure the delivery of services (water, electricity, telephones, ISDN, etc.).
- Land sales including interaction with various marketing divisions and external brokers.
Qualifications
- Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Property Studies and/or related Studies
Experience
- Min 3 years’ experience
- Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in a research role
- Understanding of data and the property market
- Any GIS systems would be advantageous
