About the roleAs an IT Intern at Disputed People Studios, you’ll be a vital part of our technical support team, ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll assist in troubleshooting and maintaining IT infrastructure, providing hands-on support to our game development and production teams. Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist with setting up and configuring computers, software, and peripheral devices for new team members.
Network & System Maintenance- Help monitor and maintain network connectivity and system performance.
- Assist in maintaining and updating security protocols to ensure data protection.
Software & Hardware Inventory
- Keep track of software licenses and hardware inventory, ensuring that all assets are up to date.
- Support the setup and management of hardware and software for development and production environments.
Documentation & Process Improvement- Document common IT procedures, solutions, and FAQs for easy reference.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline IT operations and increase efficiency.
Learning & AdaptationStay updated on the latest IT tools, security practices, and technologies relevant to our industry.
Assist the team in exploring new solutions that could benefit the company.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide clear. technical support.
Interest in the gaming industry and technology trends.
Passion for pop culture and African entertainment.
Must not have taken part on the YES Program before.
