Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the construction industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that all financial aspects are meticulously handled from the pre-construction phase through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and value management exercises.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documents.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to management and stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving contractual disputes and claims.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of relevant construction contracts and pricing systems.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. WinQS, Dim X, CCS) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
