Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team in Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantity surveying tasks both on-site and in-office.
- Perform take-offs, subcontractor claims, and on-site measurements accurately.
- Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project cost control and adherence to budget.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and progress reports.
- Utilize Excel and Outlook for project-related communications and data management.
- Employ WinQS software for quantity surveying tasks (experience with WinQS is a bonus).
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on-site.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in quantity surveying, preferably with a diploma or degree.
- At least one year of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with WinQS software is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing take-offs and measurements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work on-site for approximately 80% of the time.
