In this role, you'll leverage your deep knowledge of best practices to provide top-tier investment consulting services to our diverse range of institutional clients. Your expertise will guide strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment strategy formulation. Education: Relevant bachelorâ€s degree in Finance, Economics, or Actuarial Science (Honors preferred). Advanced degrees or certifications such as CAIA, CFA, or MCom are advantageous. Accreditations: FAIS Accreditation / RE 5 (not working under supervision). Experience: 7-10 years of experience in roles such as Principal Investment Consultant, Senior Investment Consultant, Investment Actuary, Investment Specialist, Senior Client Investment Specialist, or Portfolio Manager. Language Skills: Multi-lingual capabilities are advantageous. Non-Negotiables: Institutional Experience: Proven experience dealing with pension funds or other institutional clients on investment matters, including providing feedback and discussing performance attribution or consulting on investment matters. Client Portfolio Management: Ability to manage a large portfolio of clients independently with support from associate investment consultants or investment consultants. Market Insight: Solid understanding of investment markets and experience dealing with local asset managers, including assessing their strengths and weaknesses. Portfolio Construction: Strong understanding of portfolio construction principles. Analytical Skills: Excellent numerical and critical thinking skills. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a focus on delivery. Relationship Management: Capability to manage complex board relationships. FAIS Experience: Appropriate FAIS category experience, operating independently (not under supervision). Independent Advisory Role: Provide strategic investment advice and oversee its implementation for a broad spectrum of institutional clients, including retirement funds, medical schemes, corporations, trusts, and mining rehabilitation funds. Technical Excellence: Deliver high-quality technical investment advice and client service excellence to institutional clients. Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated with regulatory and economic changes and assess their impact on client portfolios. Asset Manager Insight: Understand the asset manager landscape, including alternative asset classes and global investment strategies. Clear Communication: Present complex investment concepts clearly to clients with varying levels of understanding. Tailored Advice: Customize investment advice and service delivery to meet the diverse objectives and sophistication levels of clients. Team Collaboration: Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and participate in investment decision-making. Analytical Skills: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on client portfolios to identify improvement areas. Risk Management: Assess and manage the impact of market or regulatory changes on client portfolios. Client Fairness: Uphold the principles of Treating Customers Fairly. Coordination: Facilitate and coordinate work across internal departments. Continuous Improvement: Commit to self-development and adherence to standard procedures and best practices.
