Job Summary
We are seeking an Internal Sales Administrator to join our team. As an Internal Sales Administrator, you'll be required to service and support existing customers in order to meet or exceed monthly sales targets while increasing customer satisfaction. In addition, the Internal Salesperson will work cooperatively with other sales staff and other members of the team to grow the existing customer base as well as to provide support to the Technical/Operations Manager and External Sales personnel in order to ensure timeous and steady growth of sales and client retention with the intentions to expand the sales team.  What youâ€ll do: Retain and acquire business through exceptional service delivery and relationship building Build strong client relationships by responding to their questions efficiently and courteously Develop a clear understanding of clientâ€s needs and requirements Identify, coordinate and implement services to extend the account Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications Present quote in accordance with clientâ€s standard procedures and customers†expectations as well as within the clientâ€s profitability profiles Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items and stock availability from suppliers Supply accurate information to the customer relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Provide a high level of customer service to ensure clients complete satisfaction Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling and add-on sales Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound cold calls and emails Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed as well as update customers – send ETA Backlog Reports Contact customers following sales/quotes to ensure on going customer satisfaction Arrange demo equipment or samples for customers Remain current on consumer preferences, and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, reading trade magazines or doing online webinars/training Setup Project customer files when order is received from customers Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction and provide feedback to the team Efficient communication with the team regarding quotes and customer updates Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal, and other common office equipment and software Follow company policies and procedures which include limited use of cell phones for non-related work activities i.e. Facebook, games, etc. Present a professional image at all times to colleagues, customers, and suppliers Perform other duties as and when assigned.
