Job Title: Group Advisory and Consolidated Reporting Specialist Location: Cape Town / Centurion, Western Cape Position Type: Temporary Role Purpose: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Group Advisory and Consolidated Reporting Specialist to support the preparation and consolidation of Group IFRS-compliant reports. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring fair and reliable financial reporting and disclosures, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and driving improvements in reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic input into the development of the financial reporting strategy for the Group. Lead and assist with Group IFRS-related projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards. Initiate corrective actions within business units to ensure compliance with IFRS and other reporting regulations. Review complex IFRS accounting treatments submitted by business units to ensure adherence to Group policies. Co-ordinate, consolidate, and review the Groups IFRS accounts, focusing on high-risk areas during each reporting period. Prepare and review Group financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. Provide technical accounting advisory support during transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and internal restructures. Contribute to the development of technical accounting frameworks, policies, and processes to incorporate new IFRS standards. Review financial reporting and disclosures for compliance with IFRS and other regulatory frameworks. Assist in maintaining the Groups technical accounting standards and processes in line with industry developments. Co-ordinate and review the information submitted to external publications (e.g., JSE, integrated reports, SENS announcements). Manage the reporting process and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting tools and processes. Provide detailed analysis and insights to internal stakeholders to manage investor queries and expectations. Drive improvements in the reporting process and enhance the value of financial reporting to key stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements, meeting all regulatory deadlines. Manage project administration and co-ordinate various reporting-related projects as required. Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Experience: 6-8 years of experience in financial reporting, with a strong focus on Group consolidation and technical accounting. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and risk management principles. Industry Experience: Previous experience in financial services or related industries is highly advantageous. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of IFRS consolidation systems and financial systems. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple reporting initiatives effectively. Competencies: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Expertise in IFRS reporting and compliance. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and external auditors. Project management capabilities to drive initiatives and meet deadlines. Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements. High level of professionalism and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
