Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Specialist in Power Performance for a 12 month contract to manage our TowerCo Energy Management System (EMS) from end to end. This includes site power acquisition, generation, storage, and all related solution requirements. In this role, you will lead and implement Power-as-a-Service (PaaS) energy performance strategies, ensuring effective energy provisioning, accurate monitoring, and billing. You will be responsible for technical solution design, optimization, and site power integration, maintenance planning, and ensuring power reliability with a full site power total cost of ownership (profit and loss) responsibility. Degree or Diploma in a related field. 3-year electrical qualification such as a diploma or bachelor's degree, registered as a master electrician with the department of labor. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on working experience within the telecommunications sector, with essential working knowledge of multitenant site power operations. Preference for candidates with research and development team experience, capable of designing, evaluating, and implementing different power solutions. Power as a Service (PaaS): Lead site-specific power strategies tailored to different customer and business requirements. Support operations and maintenance partners by identifying techniques and strategies for optimal power provision per site. Align technical and commercial models to minimize the total cost impact of network management, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability. Thought Leadership: Manage power solution specialists and operations and maintenance partners in innovative site-specific power design solutions. Collaborate with product suppliers to identify and implement best-in-class solutions. Supplier and Contract Management: Develop structures to monitor, evaluate, and manage supplier solutions and contractor performance against their contracted scope of work. Benchmark best practices for overall solutions. Financial Management Reporting: Formulate and manage all power-related operational elements concerning CAPEX and OPEX requirements. Develop dashboards for management visibility on site-specific power performance. Oversee design reporting to identify technical solutions that drive better financial management and profitability. Compliance Management: Support TowerCo preparation for ISO compliance and certification. Design solutions to continuously improve compliance management for TowerCo and its operations and maintenance partners.
