Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work directly with a Head of Applications on a range of software and infrastructure implementation projects . The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing end-to-end platform implementations, demonstrating expertise in both technical project management and applying best practice SDLC methodologies. Please note this is a 6 month contract position, and is hybrid based in Cape Town.  What youâ€ll do: Manage the full lifecycle of software and infrastructure implementation project, ensuring successful delivery from planning through to deployment. Work closely with the Head of Applications across a range across a range of software and infrastructure implementation projects Lead the implementation of projects following best practice Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods Proactively identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate where necessary to ensure timely and successful project outcomes. Provide regular project updates, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders on progress, timelines, and potential challenges. Effectively manage project resources and budgets to ensure that projects stay within financial constraints and are completed on time. Ensure effective collaboration between IT, development, and infrastructure teams to meet technical requirements and resolve issues during implementation.  Your expertise: Proven experience in managing complex technology projects, especially software and infrastructure implementations, across the full project lifecycle Strong working knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Demonstrated success in end-to-end platform implementations, including integration, deployment, and ongoing support. Awareness of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) to coordinate and manage cloud-related projects effectively. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project) for tracking tasks, schedules, and milestones. Ability to identify technical risks (e.g., delays in software integration) and address them in a timely manner. Experience working with external vendors or technical teams to ensure the delivery of software and infrastructure components on time.  Why work for us?
