Job Summary
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Technical Diploma or Degree as well as sales courses / diploma or continuous development > 3 years' experience in Key Accounts Management and Solar PV technologies Sales Background / Advanced Selling / Key Accounts Management / Customer Centric Approach / Client Relationship Skills High level of experience with MS Office and CRM platforms, attention to detail / good punctuality Knowledge of the Solar Industry, Competitor Products, Solutions and Services A basic understanding of electrical concepts, including Direct Current up to 1000VDC, and Alternating Current, both LV and MV, single and three phase Understanding of Electrical DC Storage methods (eg Batteries, UPS) PV system design, including string sizing, inverter specification The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Identifying and onboarding potential partners (System Integrators/EPCs & Distributors) through scouting visits and phone calls Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying and targeting potential residential and commercial solar energy customers Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and provide tailored solar solutions to meet their energy needs Conduct site assessments and offer expert advice on system design, sizing, and installation options Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations to prospective customers Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management and installation teams, to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation Stay up to date on solar industry trends, policies, and incentives to provide accurate and informed information to customers Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets; Project Management Ensure that CRM data is up to date and that project forecasting is accurate Manage and coordinate large projects until completed, being the central point of contact for the business partner and internal departments Regularly review and update the project schedule to identify potential delays and take corrective actions to prevent schedule slippage Customer Relationship Management Maintain a well-organised sales pipeline, tracking leads at various stages, updating status of opportunities regularly and communicating the customers needs to all relevant departments, Customer Agreements and Discount Schedules Working with the Energy & Marketing Director to ensure all key customers have valid and signed agreements Discount schedules must also be checked to ensure that all customers get the correct discount levels and access to all the products they need to run / grow their businesses Marketing and Training Represent the business within industry bodies and be an active member of the renewable energy community Organize monthly training events in your region (and later Southern Africa) Organize and attend joint training and trade events with our customers Salary: Market related
