Job Summary
Key Responsibilities Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight develops, implements, and maintains the QMS in compliance with industry standards, monitors its effectiveness, and conducts regular reviews and audits to ensure internal and external quality compliance Team Leadership and Training leads the quality assurance team, sets objectives, provides guidance, organizes training on quality control, food safety, and compliance, and promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Product Quality Control: ensures products meet quality standards through daily inspections and testing, collaborates with production teams to resolve issues, implements corrective actions, and ensures raw materials and finished products meet specifications Lead the Food Safety Team in upholding and enhancing performance under ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, encompassing GMP audits, housekeeping audits, corrective actions, customer complaint trends, internal audits, and management reviews Develop and enforce policies and procedures to meet food and liquor legislation requirements Ensure laboratory safety practices are followed at all times Participate in New Product Development projects and factory trials for new products and packaging materials Qualification and Experience Matric Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology and Analytical Chemistry Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of applicable food and liquor legislative requirements is essential Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant laboratory. Liquid is preferable Minimum of three years in a supervisory role within the processing environment. Must have proven experience with ISO 22000 Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
