Hire Resolve's Client is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Unit Manager specialized in Theatre to join a leading healthcare facility, in Mitchells Plain. This role will focus on ensuring exceptional operational standards within the Theatre unit while leading a dedicated team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Theatre unit's operations, ensuring compliance with policies and protocols.
• Lead, mentor, and train a team of nursing staff and surgical assistants to provide exceptional patient care.
• Manage schedules, allocate resources, and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Coordinate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure smooth operation during surgical procedures.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Engage with patients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification with valid SANC registration.
• A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the Theatre.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and nursing practices within the Theatre environment.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
