Job Summary
Position Overview:
As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and a safe environment throughout the hospital. Your work will directly contribute to the comfort and well-being of our animal patients, clients, and staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning Tasks:
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, and surfaces in designated areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Sweep and mop floors, and empty trash receptacles.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Hospital Area Cleaning:
- Clean and disinfect cages.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in patient treatment areas, waiting rooms, and examination rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness in surgical suites and recovery areas.
Restroom and Facility Maintenance:
- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Monitor and refill hand sanitizer stations throughout the hospital.
Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Follow specific protocols for cleaning and sanitizing areas with potential biohazards or infectious materials.
- Assist with cleaning and disinfecting after patient emergencies or accidents.
- Handle and dispose of medical waste according to hospital policies and procedures.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
