Management Accountant

Chemical Manufacturing company based in Roodepoort has a vacancy for a Management Accountant. You are required to have a Tertiary qualification in Accounting (BCom Accounting) and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BCom Accounting/ similar
• Minimum of 5-7 years in a similar management accountant role with proven experience in managing VAT, tax, and financial reporting.
• Prior experience in managing accounting teams and functions such as AP, AR, cashbook, and BEE compliance is a must.
• Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics, SAGE or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Pro-active, deadline driven and highly organised
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Hands-on approach

Duties:

• Management Accounts and Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate accounts, statements, variance analysis and financial reporting
• Vat and Tax compliance: Ensure accurate calculations and timely returns
• BEE Compliance: Ensure related obligations
• Team Leadership and Staff Management: Supervise, Train and Mentor
• Accounting function Management: Account payable and receivable, Oversee cashbook and ensure smooth operations
