Position Summary:
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Compliance Legal Officer to join our client in the logistics industry's legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. The Senior Compliance Legal Officer will work closely with senior management to develop and implement compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and provide legal advice on compliance issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
2. Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
3. Provide legal advice on compliance issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
4. Monitor changes in regulations and advise on the potential impact on the organization.
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries and requests for information.
7. Oversee the training of employees on compliance issues.
8. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in compliance and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Team player
Excellent communication and computer literacy skills.
Attention to detail.
Expert knowledge of governance and legislation framework in terms of compliance work.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance
Bachelor’s degree in law
