Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support and installation of network switches, routers, hosted IP telephony systems, and other CPE equipment at customer sites.
- Install, configure, and support Cisco and Huawei customer equipment and Ascidian NID devices.
- Rack and stack equipment in VB POPs.
- Provide solution and product-specific consultation and support.
- Configure and set up networking devices for deployment on the Vodacom Network.
- Ensure devices are configured correctly for deployment and are ready for shipment in time for scheduled deployment.
- Manage regional support stock levels.
- Attend and advise on solution scoping meetings.
- Design and deploy Cisco switch configurations.
Requirements:
- Strong telephony device experience.
- Good technical knowledge of LAN and WAN infrastructure.
- Excellent in-depth network knowledge.
- Understanding of SD-WAN solutions.
- Good understanding of wireless solutions.
- N+ and A+ certifications.
- CCNA or equivalent.
- HCNA.
- HCNP (preferable).
- CCNP (preferable).
- Exceptional team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to delegate efficiently.
- Extensive industry knowledge with a forward-looking perspective.
- Strong people skills.
- Strategic thinking.
- Effective listening.
