Job Summary
We are looking for an Agile Project Manager to join our team , based in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multiple projects within our e-commerce and digital teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, developers, and marketers, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in agile methodologies and digital project management will be essential in fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead end-to-end project lifecycles in an agile environment, ensuring successful delivery of e-commerce and digital initiatives.
- Collaborate with product owners to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives) to promote team communication and collaboration.
- Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or risks that arise, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the projects are well-integrated and aligned.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and deliverables.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and practices.
- Lead by example, promoting an agile culture and mindset throughout the organization.
Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an Agile Project Manager, specifically within e-commerce or digital projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- Proven track record of managing successful projects from inception to completion, with measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in Retail space.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or similar) are a plus.
