Job Summary
One of our international clients in the Health & Security Risk Management industry is seeking a Rewards and Recognition Consultant working with +- 300 staff compliment.
The Rewards and Recognition Consultant will be responsible for assisting with the company's strategic goals, through the management and implementation of rewards, compensation, benefits and recognition. This role requires a deep understanding of salary benchmarking, performance-based incentives, payroll processes and benefits management. The individual will also coordinate various projects and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Provide guidance/coaching and R & R solutions that are customised to the business and its needs.
Job requirements:
- Rewards and Recognition Programmes: Create and manage reward and recognition programmes that motivate employees, establish criteria for outstanding performance, and continuously assess and improve these on these initiatives.
- Salary Benchmarking: Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to recommend equitable adjustments and collaborate with HR and finance to align compensation with budgets and policies.
- Performance Bonus and Increase Structures: Analyse and understand performance data to ensure the various performance bonuses and increases are accurately allocated through a structured budget process.
- Project Management/ Co-ordination: Lead or coordinate various job-related projects through the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure timely successful project implementation.
- Payroll Management: Oversee full payroll process with the service provider to ensure accurate and timely salary payments, ensure compliance with local payroll regulations and tax laws, and address payroll-related queries from employees and management.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance of payroll, compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition programs with local laws, maintain accurate records, prepare detailed effectiveness reports for management, generate key metric reports, use data analytics for insights, and collaborate with the relevant departments for comprehensive reporting.
- Analytics and Systems Management: Use analytics to measure the effectiveness of rewards programs, generate data-driven insights for decision-making and strategy adjustments, and manage data integrity on HR systems like SAP (SuccessFactors) and Mercans.
- Benefits Management: Oversee and ensure competitive employee benefits programmes (i.e: medical aid, retirement, and other benefits), communicate and assist with enrollment, address inquiries, and continuously evaluate program effectiveness, relevance and service provider SLAs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in rewards and recognition, with a focus on project management and coordination.
- Strong knowledge of salary benchmarking, performance management incentive and bonus structures, payroll processes, and benefits management.
- Experience working in African countries and understanding of local labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HR software, including SAP and Mercans, and Microsoft Office Suite.
