Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team in Cape Town, WC. The IT Support Technician will play a vital role in maintaining the IT systems and providing exceptional technical support to internal users. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring that all IT equipment and software are functioning optimally.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Install, configure, and maintain the operating systems and software applications.
- Provide technical support in person, via phone, or remotely.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Assist in network monitoring, user account management, and IT projects.
- Document technical procedures and user guides for support processes.
- Work closely with IT Teams to ensure systems are updated and maintained.
- Participate in training and onboarding for new staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification essential
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of MS Server software and management thereof.
- Excellent understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Skills Required
- Understanding of Server software, it’s implementation and maintenance
- Knowledge of Active Directory on MS Server
- Creating of Users/Roles in a Domain environment
- Understanding of TCP/IP
- Strong Problem solving & Analytical skills
- Technical understanding of IT infrastructures
- Good knowledge of PC's/Printers and fault finding
- Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
