Job Summary
A UK-based group of companies is looking to employ a Finance and Operations Manager. This is a remote working opportunity, and the company will provide training and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA articles and hold an AGA(SA) or CA(SA) professional qualification. Candidates with similar qualifications and a background in assurance or compliance will also be considered. Post-article, industry-related, or Xero experience will be an added advantage.
The role will comprise of the finance function, operational tasks, and project-related work. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door in an exciting sector, a growing business, and gain valuable international experience within a business with UK and US entities.
This role will suit an individual with a keen eye for detail, solid technical abilities, ‘can do’ attitude, and pro-active inclination.
Purpose of the Role:
As a Finance and Operations Manager, you will assist the CFO and play a key role in steering the financial operations toward continued success. Your expertise in managing accounting practices, budgeting processes, and financial planning will ensure the company’s financial integrity and drive strategic decisions to foster business growth and maximum profitability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BCom Accounting, Finance or similar degree.
- Professional qualifications such as CA(SA), AGA(SA), PA(SA), CGMA/ACMA, or similar will be an advantage, but not required.
- Completed SAICA articles.
- Post articles experience will be a positive.
- Knowledgeable in Accounting Principles and all statutory requirements.
- Skilled in creating financial statements and familiar with general ledger functions.
- Tech-Savy in Accounting Software, preferably Xero.
- Advanced Excel with knowledge of financial modeling, pivot tables, finance formula, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
Remuneration:
- R480,000 to R660,000 pa cost to company, depending on experience.
