One of the world’s most trusted manufacturers of high-precision instruments for chemical analysis, is looking for a dynamic, goal-orientated external sales representative to join the team at their branch in Somerset-West, Western Cape. The position will report to the Regional Manager with the main function being the marketing and sales of analytical instruments in the Western/Northern Cape and parts of the Easter Cape up to Gqeberha. Tertiary qualification in Chemistry and at least 2 years external sales experience of analytical instruments required.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Chemistry
• Two years related sales experience in analytical instruments. ( non -negotiable)
• Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Dynamics 365.
• A valid driver's license and own car.
• Good communication skills and an outgoing personality
• Good organizational / time management skills to balance customer visits, sales administration on MS Dynamics, and ad-hoc internal team tasks.

Job Duties:

• To actively call on existing customers and develop new markets to generate revenue from sales of the complete range of laboratory instruments and process analysers.
• Travel throughout the territory with occasional trips to Head office / HQ for training ( Gauteng, Johannesburg).
• Actively track / process sales leads gathered from trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone inquiries, and prospective local companies.
• Perform product demonstrations.
• Attend trade-shows and exhibitions to promote our products.
• Maintain customer data on the MS Dynamics CE system
