Operations Manager – Timber Manufacturing
Location: Kwazulu Natal
Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in timber manufacturing? We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our timber manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order processing.
- Oversee production, staff management, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Call on clients to maintain relationships and assist in driving sales.
- Ensure the factory operates efficiently and profitably, with a focus on cost control and waste reduction.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with sales teams to align production and sales goals.
- Monitor and improve operational processes and productivity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a management role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the timber industry.
- Strong technical skillset with hands-on factory management experience.
- Knowledge of timber manufacturing processes and products.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong client-facing skills, with experience in customer service and relationship management.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve operational challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
