Job Summary
The Infrastructure manager is responsible for planning, organizing and executing Infrastructure plan and activities. This includes Data Centre, servers, databases, applications, wide area networks, local area networks, desktops, printers, telephony and security, including antivirus and malware. The infrastructure manager needs to ensure that the offices can operate effectively and efficiently to achieve strategy. The infrastructure manager is responsible for the infrastructure architecture, operations, outsourcing agreements and relationship management with service providers.
The infrastructure manage is reasonable to ensure that he scan the environment for new solutions to enable the strategy and ensure that costs are contained. The infrastructure manager is responsible to deliver on the infratructure plan
The Infrastructure Manager Role
The main accountabilities of the Infrastructure manager is to:
• Deliver a stable progressing infrastructure architecture for company
• Deliver on the infrastructure plan.
• Ensure all infrastructure is available agreed SLA standards. Data Centre's and servers and applications
• Manage the relationship with the service providers
• Ensure company DRP is implemented and tested annually.
Requirements:
• Relevant Information technology degree
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Relevant experience in the financial services industry essential, for example as credit/ loan administrator
• Exposure to the SGB environment would be beneficial
Responsibilities:
• Develop the infrastructure plan.
• Deliver on the infrastructure plan
• Ensure office connectivity in place and managed to SLA
• Ensure network management tools in place
• (NMS, proxy server)
• Telephony system per SLA agreement -
• Daily, weekly monthly stats
• Firewalls and security
• LAN, WAN working to SLA
• Ensure servers are available to company users as per SLA
• Ensure Management of network partners
• Management stats in monthly reports
• Ensure all systems data backed up daily and stored in secure retrievable area
• Ensure the business continuity plan place and tested annually
• Manage the i8 SLA, including
• Antivirus, Malware
• Desktops standards and profiles • email
• patch management, Version control on
• Ensure all updated installed in the corrected controlled way (WSUS/WDS)
• Only company users able to logon to Domain
• Ensure users protection from Malware and virus' via recognized anti-virus application on each PC
• Ensure e-mail security and antispam solution implementation and management
• Office printers/scanners
• Maintain a support helpdesk
• Helpdesk availability 24/7/365
• Support analysis and reports
• Implement and communicate SLA
• Monitor and report on any SLA breaches
