Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create drawings and samples that accurately represent the design intent, including details such as materials, textures and additional required features.
- Collaborating with the sales team and clients to ensure that product specifications are viable.
- Draft initial sketches for approval from the management team and implementing design changes and making contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensuring all products are high-quality and that they conform to company standards and brand values.
- Evaluating samples and inspecting finished products to ensure that they are free from defects and implement recommended changes.
- Effective communication is key to your success in this role.
- You should be able to communicate with a variety of people including internal teams and clients to understand their needs and expectations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in product / technical design or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience
- Practical experience with software like AutoCAD, CoralDRAW and EnRoute Software.
- Work regular hours, although they may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Use mathematical principles to calculate the strength, durability and function of products.
- Understanding of mechanical and technical drawing standards
- Familiarity with CNC & Laser Machines
- Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.
