Job Summary
IGrow Wealth Investments, South Africa’s #1 Property Investment Company, is looking for a IT Technician to join their team in Cape Town.
To qualify for this position, you need:
- Matric
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in a similar IT Technician role.
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Office 365, and Windows environments.
- Experience with VPN, firewall, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with VoIP, CRM systems, and omnichannel communication platforms.
- Good understanding of backup and disaster recovery best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Technical Support and Infrastructure:
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices for new employees.
- Provide technical support for workstations, including hardware troubleshooting and software configuration.
- Monitor internet usage, Wi-Fi performance, and provide support for network issues.
- Assist in maintaining and upgrading the physical network infrastructure, including cabling.
- Provide remote IT support for employees working from home.
- Manage printers, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and supply management.
- Assist in the automation of CRM tasks and other office automation tools to increase team productivity.
- Support accounting software (Xero, Sage, Caseware) and other specialized business applications.
- Generate daily reports on call, email, and access control statistics.
Security and Maintenance:
- Regularly monitor workstations for unwanted software installations and compliance with security policies.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and software updates on all workstations and servers.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of software for new employees.
- Ensure the privacy and security of IT systems and networks by enforcing best practices.
System Administration:
- Assist in Google Workspace administration and Office 365 license management.
- Support the management of VoIP and Omnichannel communication systems.
- Administer VPN and firewall settings to ensure secure access.
- Assist with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
User and Supplier Management:
- Provide support for onboarding and offboarding processes, including user account creation and deactivation.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Assist in domain and DNS management.
- Manage and maintain the camera and access control systems.
