Job Summary
Overview:
This role reports directly into the Financial Manager for the expanding national business. It is part of a national FMCG/wholesale business, focusing on high end products in the electronic/imaging/personal care product space.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparation of journal entries
• Accurate processing of intercompany reconciliations
• Accurate processing and reconciliation of Management Accounts.
• Assist in preparation of supporting documents for relevant SARS audits
• Assist with audit file preparations for external auditors
• Work closely with Financial Manager to ensure adequate financial controls
• General admin duties / ad hoc duties
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Junior Financial Accountant
• Proficient in accounting software (SAP Business One) and MS Office, with Advanced Excel experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Education: BCom Accounting / Financial Degree
• High attention to detail / accuracy
• Ability to work in a high pressurized environment and to meet deadlines timeously.
Essential:
• 3+ years’ experience in working as a Junior Financial Accountant
• BCom Accounting / Financial Degree
• Experience in working on accounting packages.
• Proficient in Excel (Advanced)
• Experience in SAP Business One is advantageous.

• Experience in SAP Business One is advantageous.
