Minimum requirements:
- B Sc, B Com, or relevant degree
- Experience in the agricultural environment
- An existing network in the agricultural sector
- Previous sales experience is a must
- Energetic, disciplined, persistent, and self-motivated/self-starter
Key responsibilities:
- Sales and Marketing: Promote and sell the client's products and concepts to current and potential clients
- Client Growth: Expand the client base and sales in the assigned territory through the client's concept
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets as set by management
- Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients to secure ongoing business opportunities
- Business Associate Management: Manage relationships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing agents
- Distribution and Growth Objectives: Set and achieve distribution and sales goals within a specific geographic area through effective management strategies
- Product Introduction: Introduce new products, promote improved distribution channels, and ensure successful promotional results
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about market conditions, plan sales efforts intensively, identify new opportunities within each account, and maintain accurate territory records
- Educational Training: Conduct seminars and participate in trade events to provide educational training to clients and associations
- Farmer Trust: Build and nurture the trust and confidence of farmers through product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and addressing objections
- Sales and Admin Reports: Prepare sales and administrative reports, and circulate them to the company's management
- Stock Management: Assist with stock management, including record-keeping, forecasting, and ordering necessary stocks
Remuneration:
- Basic: R25 000 to R35 000 (negotiable depending on experience)
