Job Title: Data Warehouse Engineer
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Engineer to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining their data warehousing systems to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing systems and processes
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data models
- Implement and manage ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Monitor data warehousing performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Develop and implement data quality and integrity checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data
- Work closely with the development and operations teams to optimise data warehousing systems
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and data modeling
- Proficiency in SQL, database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server), and ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend)
- Experience with data warehouse automation and optimisation techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
