Job Summary
Sagen Advisory Recruitment Company is seeking a meticulous Draftsperson to join a dynamic refrigeration company in Somerset West. The Draftsperson is responsible for creating detailed and accurate floor plans tailored to the requirements of refrigeration systems and setups. This role involves translating design concepts and technical requirements into precise drawings that serve as blueprints for installations, manufacturing, or renovations. The Draftsperson works closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting and Design:
- Develop floor plans and layout designs for refrigeration systems using software.
- Include accurate specifications, dimensions, and details to guide installation and construction teams.
- Adapt existing designs to meet project-specific requirements.
Collaboration:
- Liaise with engineers and project managers to gather project specifications and feedback.
- Incorporate client and stakeholder input into final designs.
- Work with manufacturing and installation teams to address design-related queries.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Keep up to date with advancements in refrigeration technology and relevant building codes.
Documentation:
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
- Prepare and present technical documentation and design reports.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure the accuracy and completeness of plans.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues during installation or production phases.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 2 years minimum of draftsperson experience is required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with refrigeration systems, HVAC design, or mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Capacity to anticipate and resolve design challenges.
- Experience: Previous experience in drafting or designing for the refrigeration or mechanical engineering industry is highly desirable.

Remuneration
